Beta 0.3.0-beta.3 · 21 October 2026
Download Pingogram
Free for Android 8.0 and newer. Pingogram is an early beta: everyday messaging works, and some features are still to come.
pingogram-0.3.0-beta.3-universal.apk
59.5 MB
Every release is published on GitHub Releases, the only official place to get Pingogram for now. Releases before 1.0 are marked as pre-releases. Pingogram is not on Google Play or F-Droid yet; both are planned.
Which file do I need?
Each release has one APK for every type of processor (ABI) and a universal APK that contains them all. The universal APK is larger, but it works everywhere; the others are smaller downloads for one kind of device.
- Universal Works on every supported device. Pick this if you are not sure. · 59.5 MB
- arm64-v8a 64-bit ARM: most phones and tablets made since 2017. · 25.0 MB
- armeabi-v7a 32-bit ARM: older phones. · 23.1 MB
- x86_64 Emulators and Chromebooks with Intel or AMD processors. · 28.0 MB
Devices with 32-bit x86 or RISC-V processors cannot install Pingogram: TDLib, the library it is built on, is not packaged for them.
With or without Google services
The APKs of this release contain no Google Play services or Firebase code. From the next
release on, each release also has APKs with -gms in their names, for phones with
Google Play services: they get notifications through Google's push service even when
Pingogram is closed.
Both builds are the same app with the same signing key, so installing one over the other replaces it and keeps your chats and settings.
How notifications work
- Plain build: new messages arrive while Pingogram runs. To get them when it is closed, turn on Settings → Notifications → Keep connected. Pingogram then stays connected in the background, shows a quiet notification while it does, and uses more battery. It is off by default, and after a restart it only comes back if you turned it on.
- Build with Google push: Telegram sends a push through Google's service when a message arrives, and Pingogram fetches it from Telegram. Telegram encrypts the push for your device, so Google passes on only encrypted data. No "Keep connected" needed. The privacy policy has the details.
Install
- Download the APK on your phone, or copy it there.
- Open it. Android asks whether the app you opened it from (your browser or file manager) may install apps: allow it for that app.
- Tap Install, then open Pingogram and sign in with your Telegram account: your phone number, or a QR code from another device where you are signed in.
Pingogram has its own app ID (dev.kyralabs.pingogram), so it installs alongside
other Telegram apps instead of replacing them.
Update
Pingogram does not update itself. When a new release comes out, download its APK and install it over the one you have: Android keeps your chats and settings because both are signed with the same key. To hear about new releases, follow the releases on GitHub (Watch → Custom → Releases) or the release feed.
Verify your download
Every release has a SHA256SUMS.txt with the SHA-256 checksum of each APK. Compute
the checksum of the file you downloaded and compare it with the list:
# Linux (in the folder with the APK and SHA256SUMS.txt)
sha256sum --ignore-missing -c SHA256SUMS.txt
# macOS
shasum -a 256 pingogram-0.3.0-beta.3-universal.apk

Signing certificate
A checksum proves the file arrived intact. The signature proves who built it: release APKs are signed with Kyra Labs' release key, whose certificate has this SHA-256 fingerprint:
C8:A1:EE:3F:74:3C:60:6F:62:79:F6:DB:93:D6:0C:59:A6:86:4B:4A:70:06:78:FD:70:3E:0E:D4:9F:DF:6B:49
To check it, run apksigner from the Android SDK build tools and compare the
"certificate SHA-256 digest" it prints:
apksigner verify --print-certs pingogram-0.3.0-beta.3-universal.apk
# Signer #1 certificate SHA-256 digest: c8a1ee3f743c606f6279f6db93d60c59a6864b4a700678fd703e0ed49fdf6b49
Android checks this too: it only installs an update over Pingogram if the update is signed with the same key.
